Polaris Off-Road Returning Key Ranger and Sportsman Models to 2023 Lineup

Polaris is expanding its off-road lineup again this year with the return of several popular models in its RANGER and Sportsman lines that the company says it is bringing back "by popular demand" for 2023.

The newly returning side-by-side models include the incredibly popular RANGER Crew XP 1000 Texas Edition, the RANGER SP 570 Northstar, and the RANGER Crew SP 570 NorthStar Edition. In its ATV line, Polaris plans to bring back the Sportsman 850 and XP 1000 High Lifter Editions. It also plans to return the Sportsman 570 and XP 1000 Ride Command Editions as well as the Sportsman 570 Utility HD model. Polaris says the decision to return these models was made from the feedback it received from users. These new models are tailored specifically toward ranchers, property owners, and trail riders.

"We are constantly learning from the unique ways our customers use our products," Polaris Off-Road President Steve Menneto said in a press release. "From mudding and property maintenance, these vehicles are purpose-built with enhanced features that enable our customers to make the most of their day, and we're excited to bring them back for 2023."

Here's a quick look at what it has planned for a new year of off-road adventure.

Polaris RANGER Crew XP 1000 Texas Edition

The RANGER Crew models have always been popular in the Lone Star State. So, it was only natural when Polaris first decided to release a special Texas Edition of the popular side-by-side. The new 2023 edition will continue to have a unique custom Texas-inspired styling with a unique color scheme and graphics that aren't found on other RANGER crew models.

Polaris is fitting these machines with 8-ply, 29-inch Pro Armor tires specifically for the rough terrain of Texas. These new machines will have a 14-inch ground clearance.

Polaris knows most of its Texas customers are people who work as hard as they play, so it's no surprise to see they're including a 4,500-pound winch fitted with a synthetic rope that's going to be perfect for the many ranches scattered across the state. This machine has a 1,000-pound bed capacity, and it has a 2,500-pound towing capacity.

The new Texas Edition will have high-intensity LED headlights for when the work continues after sundown. Polaris is installing a poly sport roof and contoured seats for all-day riding comfort. Another interesting new addition to this machine is a USB charging port in the dash to help keep your phone charged while you're out in the field all day. Polaris has the MSRP at $24,299 for this model.

Polaris RANGER SP 570 NorthStar and RANGER Crew SP 570 NorthStar Editions

Featuring a full cab system, the SP 570 NorthStar editions of Polaris' popular side-by-side are set to offer some incredible comfort from the elements. Both the standard and crew models offer heating and ventilation for riding comfort. Polaris also added the USB port to the dash on the interior of these vehicles for a little added functionality when you're working outside all day.

Polaris equips these machines with a 3,500-pound winch and synthetic tow rope for help with the tough jobs. The engineers have also updated the LED lighting systems to be more powerful. Another welcome feature is the addition of some mud guards to help prevent buildup under the cab. I think we can all appreciate a little less time cleaning at the end of a long workday. The standard RANGER SP 570 will start at $19,299, while the Crew model will start at $21,999.

Polaris Sportsman 570 Ride Command and Sportsman XP 1000 Ride Command

It is safe to say that Polaris' signature Ride Command system has become one of the must-have features for its lineup of off-road vehicles. The bevy of information on the status of your vehicle that is conveyed through the touch screen is incredibly valuable. The GPS navigation systems also help prevent you from getting lost or losing track of your buddies on a twisting or dusty trail. So, it makes perfect sense that it's begun incorporating the technology into its ATVs these last few years after the tech was originally pioneered in its side-by-sides.

Polaris fitted its Sportsman Ride Command models with a 7-inch touch screen that can still be used while wearing gloves. It seamlessly connects to the Polaris app for even more functionality.

This year, Polaris is fitting its Sportsman models with 27-inch Duro tires on 14-inch aluminum wheels, which will help these already functional machines even more with ground clearance and off-road handling. Polaris also upgraded the LED lights on these models and added some new styles and bumpers that set these side-by-sides apart from the crowd. The 570 version will retail for $12,399 MSRP, and the XP 1000 version will start at $16,699.

Polaris Sportsman 570 Utility HD

Starting with an MSRP of $10,199, Polaris is planning to offer a more cost-effective heavy-duty working machine in the 2023 lineup. The Polaris Sportsman 570 Utility won't skimp on functionality, with a 1,350-pound towing capacity and a 270-pound rack capacity. Polaris added a hitch to the front utility bumper for more precise parking jobs of smaller trailers, and extra storage capacity with cargo racks on the front and rear.

This machine also features a rear power plug for operating utility equipment such as mowers or sprayers behind the Sportsman.

Polaris Sportsman 850 High Lifter Edition and Sportsman XP 1000 High Lifter Edition

Knowing how much its customers like the mud, Polaris brought back these two popular editions in 2023 for even better performance. These machines will offer 13.5 inches of ground clearance thanks to the 30-inch Outlaw 2 tires fitted on 14-inch aluminum wheels. These tires are built specifically for the mud and will cut through the thickest you can dish out.

Polaris also mounted air intakes and clutch ducting that will allow the machine's engine to operate efficiently even if you've got it submersed in water or deep mud. And just in case you do bury one of these machines, Polaris includes a 3,500-pound winch to help pull yourself out. The 850 High Lifter will start with an MSRP of $12,199, while the XP 1000 will start at $16,899.
