Ray Johnstone now has plenty of fishing buddies.
Remember a few weeks ago when we told you about Ray Johnstone? The Australian man became an absolute viral sensation when he posted an ad looking for a new angling partner to the internet after his old fishing buddy died.
Showing that the internet really can be used for some real good, offers to take him fishing flooded in. Last weekend, Johnstone went out with Mati Batsinilas and his family, and a local news station documented the trip.
As his story reached millions of people worldwide, the offers to hit the water came with it, as did a lot of new gear for the 75-year-old grandfather. It doesn't sound like he'll have any trouble finding people to go fishing with anytime soon.
You've gotta love it. With all the rotten news in the world right now, it's easy to start losing faith in humanity. That's why it's so nice to have such a heartwarming story to assure us there's still good in the world!
