Remington announces the return of cutlery and their new ammo lineup.
With a New Year comes new product announcements in the outdoor industry and Remington has just made two big ones with the reveal of their 2022 new ammunition lineup and the announcement that they are bringing back their popular branded knives this year.
They trickled out a few intriguing details in a press release on their website and we have all the details we know so far.
Remington Cutlery
For Remington, bringing back their cutlery line is a no-brainer. There are no details on the steel type or build quality just yet. However, we do know this new lineup will see four series of knives: The Backwoods Series, Woodland Series, Hunter Series, and Guide Series. In a press release, Remington says there will be fixed blade, pocket, and folding variations within each line.
Remington is also releasing a hand-crafted blade they are calling the USA Bullet Knife, which they describe as an everyday carry (EDC) line of blades. Big Green also announced a Sportsman's Series of knives meant for the outdoor lifestyle and some collectible tin gift sets, one of which is already listed on their website for $32.95. The set includes a tin with vintage Remington art depicting flushing pheasants.
"So many of us grew up with a Remington knife or two in our pockets," Remington Director of Accessories Danny Evans said in a press release. "Having Remington knives back for the next generation represents such an iconic part of the Remington name and history."
New Remington Ammo for 2022
Remington has also announced some new ammo products coming to store shelves this year. It's a big announcement considering they finally made their return to manufacturing ammo last year. Most of the new additions come to the hunting line of products. Most notable here are the additions of 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster to Remington's popular Core-Lokt line of controlled expansion bullets. Now hunters in Midwestern "straight wall" states can enjoy the same knockdown abilities as other states.
Remington also recently announced Core-Lokt Tipped which provides the same expanding qualities while also adding green polymer tips to the bullets to help with ballistics and accuracy. Big Green is also expanding their UMC Rifle line with 450 Bushmaster, 224 Valkyrie, and 300 Blackout additions. Premier Match will see 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Grendal, 6.5 PRC, 224 Valkyrie, and 260 Remington.
In the rimfire department, Remington is adding 17 HMR to their Remington Magnum Rimfire Line. For shotshells, expect to see Premier Magnum Turkey High Velocity in 20 gauge, and Premier Nitro Sporting Clays in 20 and 28 gauge.
The company also plans to expand their Premier STS Low Recoil line. Other shotshell additions include Gun Club Low Recoil, Peters Paper, and Premier TSS. In the handgun department they will expand Golden Saber Defense, Remington Range Clean, and add 30 Super Carry, to their High Terminal Performance Line. Remington will expand or introduce UMC handgun in 30 Super Carry, 327 Federal Magnum, High Terminal Performance in 41 Remington Mag, 44 Remington Mag, and 45 Colt.
