Follow "Ridge The Patrol Puppy" While On Duty at a Ski Resort

Follow along as Ridge the Golden Retriever puppy shows us what it takes to be a patrol dog.

Ski resorts often have a team of patrol dogs who help dig out skiers and snowboarders if they are buried in avalanches and are important members of Search and Rescue patrol.

Ridge the Golden Retriever puppy is new to the team, but he's already proving to be an incredibly fast learner. Follow along as Ridge explains what training is like to become a patrol dog up on Squaw Valley's Alpine Meadows Team near Lake Tahoe in California.

Is Ridge not the cutest thing you've ever seen? I could watch that little guy run around in the snow for hours. Not surprisingly, that is exactly the voice I can imagine little Ridge having too. Following Ridge along from riding the chairlift to playing with the big dogs to learning to dig in the snow, we learn just what it takes to work as an avalanche dog.

Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows is a California ski resort with a team of avalanche dogs that can be regularly seen on chairlifts and walking around the Village.

But this little fluff ball isn't on vacation! Ridge has an important job to do and will grow up to be the best patrol pup on the mountain!
