Roadshow has previewed Porsche's first all-electric car, the Taycan Cross Turismo, with a captivating test drive through the winding Pacific Coast Highway.
Watch the inaugural road test for the Taycan Cross Turismo below, conducted by Roadshow editor-in-chief Tim Steven, with a police escort in tow.
Formerly codenamed Mission E, the Taycan Cross Turismo marks Porsche's aggressive plans to compete with the Tesla's Model S, powered by two electric motors on a 90kWh lithium-ion battery with an all-electric range of roughly 310 miles, 600 horsepower, and a blistering b3.5-second 0-62 acceleration time. Arguably, its biggest feature is a promised 15-minute charge time using its 350-kilowatt Recharging System, which is half of Tesla's charge time.
Look for the Mission E to go into production by late 2018.
