The 2019 National Rifle Association Meetings & Exhibits Show featured a handful of new-look Savage rifles.
The 2019 NRA Show in Indianapolis showcased a number of different exhibits from various brands in the shooting industry. One of bigger storylines of the show came on the heels of the newly established partnership between Mossy Oak and the NRA, as the camo giant provided the gun rights advocacy organization with an exclusive, all-new pattern called "Mossy Oak Overwatch."
As the official announcement said, "The unique pattern utilizes cutting-edge design technology and features the NRA logo embedded within the pattern. Wearing it helps NRA members show their support and passion for their American right to keep and bear arms, and the protection of America's hunting fishing and outdoors heritage."
Then, Savage partnered with Mossy Oak to produce a variety of rifles with the Overwatch camo pattern. The Overwatch Series was born.
The lineup includes the A22 FV-SR semi-auto in .22 LR, the B Series bolt-action in .22 LR and .17 HMR, the A17 semi-auto in .17 HMR, the MSR 15 Recon 2.0 semi-auto in 5.56X45mm/.223 Rem., the MSR 10 Hunter semi-auto in .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor, the Model 10 Ridge Warrior bolt-action in .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor, and the Axis II bolt-action in a variety of hunting calibers.
The legacy brands teamed up to give away nine of the Axis II rifles during the NRA Show.
