When it comes to modifying cars and trucks, Hennessey Performance has developed a reputation for churning out ridiculously over-the-top upgrade packages. Over the years, the Hennessey team has worked its magic on such rides as the 1996 Dodge Viper GTS (Hennessey Venom 650R), the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (Hennessey Exorcist), and the Ford SVT Raptor (Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6).
If you're familiar with Hennessey's work and you check out their take on the Chevy Silverado 1500, you'll recognize the Sealy, Texas-based tuning house's trademark style all over it. They definitely spared no expense with this one.
Simply put, the Hennessey Goliath 6x6 is an absolute MONSTER of a vehicle. Just take a look at what this bad boy is working with. We're talking a custom 6x6 truck bed, a new rear suspension system, BFGoodrich 37-inch all-terrain tires, and, somehow, even more.

In addition to the obvious 6?—6 conversion, there are a whole slew of other features included. As far as the suspension goes, the truck gets an eight-inch lift kit. To make things look right, the lifted machine sits on 20-inch wheels and 37-inch BFG off-road tires.
As far as looks go, a custom bed is fitted to the truck to make everything fit just right. It also includes the likes of a rollbar upgrade and LED lights. Hennessey's front and rear bumpers complete the look of this massive brute along with custom graphics. This truck is really one of a kind.
For power, the truck isn't going to necessarily set the world on fire. It does have a couple of upgrades that boost the numbers just a bit though as the truck sports a cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust. These are good for about 450 hp at the crank.
When we top it off with the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, the picture is complete.
Back in mid-July, the first Goliath was sold to Bob Berrard, the owner of the largest potato farm in the state of Wisconsin. The guy definitely made a huge statement with that purchase. All told, the Hennessey Goliath costs a base price of about $400,000. Those aren't your average Chevrolet dealer type prices, for sure. Is it worth it? Guess that depends on how much money you're willing to blow. Even for a tuner truck, this is one hell of a unique vehicle.
