Here are the details of the latest Simms G3 Guide Waders, a long-running staple in the Simms Fishing gear lineup.
20 years is a long time for anything. Maintaining a spot amidst the elite fishing wader market for that amount of time is a testament to quality, durability, and attention to detail.
Simms Fishing can claim that longevity with their latest version of the G3 Guide Waders, the newest addition to the G3 legacy. Whether you're into fly fishing or conventional fishing, this pair of waders is bound to check all the boxes.
As the highlight of their 2022 product lineup, the Simms G3 Guide Waders come in both men's and women's styles (as well as wading pants) and feature some of the biggest innovations Simms have ever added to their gear.
Simms G3 Guide Stockingfoot Waders
The breathable 3-layer upper and the all new, exclusive to Simms 4-layer GORE-TEX fabric in the lower portion come together to create a stronger, more durable, and more puncture-resistant piece of gear than Simms has ever produced.
Compared to the G3's predecessor, the following improvements have been achieved:
- 7.5% increase in Tongue Tear Strength
- 23% increase in standard puncture resistance
- 84% increase in pinhole puncture resistance
- 33% increase in breathability
Here's a more visual look at the technologically advanced features.
One of the more appreciated features on the new G3 Guide Waders is what Simms calls the "funk-fighting" anti-microbial finish on the anatomically engineered neoprene stockingfeet. Most wader wearers can relate to the unpleasant odors emitted by stinky waders over the years, and this helps battle against that common issue.
Along with that, there's an adjustable spacer air-mesh suspender system that uses a fabric suspender divider and an integrated webbing attach point for carrying a net. There's also a top access zippered stretch pocket as well as a comfy zippered, reach-through micro-fleece lined hand-warming pockets on the chest.
Add to those features an attachment zipper for a Tippet Tender pocket, low profile belt loops in the back, and a 2-inch stretch nylon belt and you've begun to round out a seriously capable pair of waders.
The front and back leg seams provide an articulated fit, improved mobility, and increased durability, while the abrasion-resistant, built-in gravel guards keep debris out and dry warmth within. Boot hooks will easily attach to most wading boots, especially the new G3 Guide Wading Boots.
Most notably, these waders are covered by an impressive warranty. For 60 days you'll get a full replacement for leaks, no questions asked. For a full year you'll see repairs completely covered by Simms, and beyond that Simms charges a reasonable $60 flat fee for evaluation, repair, testing of repairs and return shipping.
Like all of Simms Fishing's apparel and gear, you can feel good about buying American. These new G3 Guide Waders are made in Bozeman, Montana. Anglers from across the world have learned the Simms name, and the G3 Guide Waders are continuing that long-reaching legacy of quality fishing gear made the right way.
The G3 Guide Waders come in Men's and Women's styles, and will run an MSRP of $599. For more information and to get yourself into a pair of G3 Guide Waders, check out SimmsFishing.com.
