Texas hunters on the lookout for quality gear will soon have a new spot to explore: hunting apparel retailer Sitka has opened a brick and mortar store in Dallas with over 3,000 square feet of space.
Sitka, which was started in 2005 in Bozeman, Montana and bought by Gore-Tex in 2009, has become a favorite of hardcore hunters for its attention to details like comfort, breathability, and heat and moisture management. It's just the stuff you want to wear while stalking tough game in harsh conditions—which Texan hunters understand.

The store is only the company's second and is their first foray outside of their home state of Montana. "With over one million licensed hunters annually in Texas, we aim to bring our services closer to our passionate customer base and serve Texas communities more effectively," Matt Bluher, Sitka's marketing leader, told Wide Open Spaces.
The storefront gives Texas hunters the opportunity to see, touch, and try on the company's tough, breathable, hunter-focused apparel in person rather than online. "We are excited to truly engage with the Sitka brand and its products in ways they haven't before," Bluher said. "Customers can expect a hands-on experience with our gear and in-depth product insights from our dedicated staff."
Texas's massive hunter population—it ranks number one in hunting licenses sold, ahead of Pennsylvania and Georgia—will have plenty of good gear to explore at the store. What's more, a Yeti store just down the street means hunters can hit an easy two-for-one when they swing by.
