Someone Went Swimming in a Bass Pro Shops Fish Tank Again

Someone went swimming at Bass Pro Shops... again.

Remember last month when the latest "Florida Man" headline was about a guy jumping into the Bass Pro Shops fish tank in Fort Myers, Florida? Well, you will not believe it, but it happened again, this time in Louisiana. The store and authorities are not laughing about it either.

This latest incident happened in the Bass Pro Shops in Bossier City, Louisiana. The guy who did it says he did it for TikTok fame. Bass Pro says he may have to pay for the cost of cleaning and repair according to KSLA 12 News.

You can see the footage of the stunt in the video below.

KSLA 12 News reports the man's name is WevinKise. Apparently, he was goaded into trying the stunt by a crowd on the Internet.

"I said that if I got 2,000 likes I would jump in the tank," he said on another video. "I got way more than that and didn't want to be a liar."

Of course, such an incident is not going to go unnoticed by other shoppers. Treasure McGraw recorded footage of the incident that also went viral.

"We heard a big splash and I thought it was one of the fish," McGraw told KSLA 12 News. "My fiancé was like 'somebody is in the tank' and we saw the guy swimming."

After his dip, the man ran out of the store. While the Internet loved it, Bass Pro Shops was less than enthused. Authorities immediately started looking for the man. It did not take them long to find him. Kise reported in another video that the store was not pressing charges. However, if the fish get sick or repairs are needed to the tank, he will have to pay for them. That video has since been removed from the platform.

It will be interesting to see if the stores start putting more security measures in place after this has happened twice already this year. We really should not have to tell you this but stay out of the Bass Pro Shops fish tank! Both for your safety and that of the fish. Also, do you really want an arrest for "jumping into a fish tank" on your record? We did not think so.
