Sometimes, we're keenly aware of how difficult it is to find animals in the wilderness. Other times, you just don't realize how close to nature you can be without having any idea.
As hunters, or just nature lovers, we know just how close the animals can be. But, even we forget how aware the animals are of us and how quickly and quietly they can move around the forest without being seen or noticed.
Just take a look at this video below, which shows a time lapse of a popular hiking path in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. You might be surprised by what you see.
No matter how much time we spend in the woods, it's still shocking, and quite startling to see things like bears, bobcats, and coyotes walking the same trails as hikers within minutes of the humans passing. Just take this as a gentle reminder that the wilderness is actually their home and domain, not yours. Be respectful and you may actually get to meet a few of the creatures yourself.
