A great white shark bewilders a striper fisherman by stealing his catch.
One striper fisherman off the coast of Massachusetts received a surprise when a giant great white shark leapt out of the water to steal his catch. The young angler fished with a group off the coast of Cape Cod near Monomoy Island when he hooked into a striped bass.
He nearly reeled the fish to the boat before it became another fish's dinner.
On Aug. 13, the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy posted the short clip of the group of angler, which eventually led the the video to go viral on the internet.

While the angler reeled the striped bass in, he exclaimed, "It's not letting me pull the line!"
This is typical when a fish of this caliber grabs the bait and runs.
Striped bass fishing is popular off the mid-Atlantic coast where fresh water runs into the ocean. Anglers all along the East Coast will go surf fishing or boat fishing during the striped bass spawn.
Anglers do well fishing with live bait like sand eels or artificial lures, such as pencil poppers. The deep water tributaries are prime breeding grounds for these fish. Anglers fishing offshore or inshore are capable of catching these large bass.
