A recent study by the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the University of Utah ranked 30 vehicles from the 2017 model year in "distractibility" or the amount of time needed to perform basic infotainment tasks using their car's interactive features.
Of the original list, 12 vehicles scored the worst with a "Very High" rating. Here are our picks for the worst of the distracting cars.
Audi Q7 QPP
Its "Premium Plus" trim drew ire for the location of its infotainment system controls, poor app/menu UI, and phone-calling functions operable while the vehicle is in motion.
Chrysler 300C
It took an average of 43 seconds to send a text message. Enough said.
Ford Mustang GT
It took an average of 34 seconds to send a text message. Confusing navigation menus resulted in an average of 55 seconds searching for points of interest.
