A member of his hunting party found the Minnesota teen.

It's the type of story you hope you never hear. A 16-year-old from Minnesota was found dead in his treestand. The teen's death was the result of a gun shot wound.

Authorities originally received reports of the death via accidental shooting; however the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has now reclassified the death as a suicide.
