We all love pictures of dogs splooting and Corgi dogs are the best at this! Anytime there is an opportunity for hundreds of the same breed to be in one place it's adorable! We love to cover breed walks, events, and beach celebrations! If you ever have a tip and would like us to consider a story idea, please leave a comment below.
Another bonus to this event? It's on the beach!
Corgi Con Corpus Christi is the first annual celebration of short, stumpy dogs. You can attend even if you don't have a Corgi. This giant puppy playdate is on June 15th at 1 p.m. Join all your Corgi loving friends at JP Luby Beach Corpus Christi, TX on Zahn Road.
The event organizer thought this would be a casual affair but it turned into a huge event!
KrisTV.com reports that Alissa Bowman thought what she was creating would be a small meet up! Bowman said around 2,000 people have marked "interested" on the Facebook page and over 600 have RSVP'd.
"I was just creating what I thought would be a small meet up but it kinda just exploded overnight."
You can find out more at the event's Facebook page.
Here are the rules as stated on their Facebook page:
- Parking on the beach is $12 for an Annual Pass.
- It is not included in the free price of attendance.
- The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department has made it convenient for beach visitors to buy their 2019 Beach Parking Permit at various locations throughout the city and on the beach. This permit will be sold at the mile marker until around 4:30 p.m.
- Food & Drinks will not be provided. Please feel free to pack yourself a picnic!
Your dog must also be on a leash and up to date on vaccinations. Bring water of course!
