You couldn't ask for a better way to end a hunt than this.
Even when you're extremely prepared and hunting with some very experienced partners, you never know how a Desert Bighorn hunt will end. Matt Fowler learned this firsthand on his sheep hunt with some of the guys from Backcountry BC and Beyond down in the Baja California Sur region of Mexico.
Since desert bighorn sheep inhabit such rough country, these hunts are often incredibly demanding, both physically and mentally. Taking any Desert Bighorn, much less a monster ram, is an incredible accomplishment that very few hunters ever achieve.
Fortunately, things worked out well for these guys and their hunt had a thrilling conclusion you won't want to miss.

I'm not sure how many desert bighorn sheep are shot from 12 yards away, but I'd bet a lot of money that it's a very, very small number. What a way for a hunt to end!
Great work, guys!
