The Great C&R Advice We All Need to Hear

#KeepEmWet is a real thing and it's only growing in popularity.

Social media is a wild animal. Just a few years ago, the hashtag #keepemwet started making circles in fly fishing communities. Fly fishermen would post this when they caught fish and kept them in the water for pictures. The benefits of this practice are undeniable. Since then, the #keepemwet movement has only increased, and it's turned into something much bigger. Now, as you're about to see, anglers are producing instructional videos focused on the same idea.

If you're going to go fly fishing and want to take a picture with your fish, here's what some consider to be the best way to do it.

You know, it makes a lot of sense. If your entire plan is to catch a fish just to let it go, you might as well go to some great lengths to make sure that fish is going to swim away just fine. Holding them out of the water on a hot day, or holding them too tight to keep them from squirming, is one stress they just don't need.
