Jurassic Lake

There's a Reason They Call This Jurassic Lake

If you want some of the biggest trout in the world, just head to Jurassic Lake, Argentina.

A lot of places in the U.S. have big rainbow trout. However, Lake Strobel, or more commonly known as Jurassic Lake in Argentina, has some of the biggest trout in the entire world. Incredibly, wild rainbow trout in this lake have perfect conditions to grow to over 20 pounds in just a few years. Fly fishing in this body of water is therefore like nothing else on Earth.

Just check out this video and see for yourself how crazy this fishing can be.

The biggest wild rainbow I've ever caught came out of West Virginia and it was somewhere in the 10-pound, 20-inch range. It was awesome. However, did you see that jumping rainbow he caught in this video? If I hooked into something like that, I don't think I could mentally handle it.

Jurassic Lake has definitely earned its name, as the fish there truly are dinosaurs. Hopefully I'll have a chance to fish it myself one day.
