Dogfish Head Brewing brings new meaning to the phrase "Don't forget the beer!"
Odds are if you are reading this you have some sort of survival plan for when things go sideways. You have your gear, possibly ready to go in a bug out bag. You might have food stores in the event a grocery store is no longer an option.
How many of these plans include beer? If you said none, Dogfish Head Brewing Company might make you rethink that plan.
Dogfish Head is releasing its new beer, It's The End of the Wort As We Know It, if nothing else the name is creative. The beer is actually made to assist in a survival scenario and is packed with essential amino acids, nutrients, and vitamins.
According to Dogfish Head's blog the beer is made from super foods to create the ultimate survival beer. The beer is a Belgian style fruit ale that sounds awesome and has a 9% ABV.
Adding in its survival capabilities, the beer is packaged with a survival kit. Along with the beer you will get a limited edition Swiss Army Knife. To aid in keeping your beer cold or you warm, the beer comes wrapped in a solar blanket. The blanket is secured with the always handy paracord.
The only catch is that this beer is a really limited release. With only 200 packages being release at $45 a piece, you're going to have to work to get one.
