This pocket-sized sling bow has a draw weight that rivals most heavy-duty compound hunting bows.
Joerg Sprave's Slingshot Channel on YouTube features videos of his ingenious designs for rubber powered launchers. In this video, he shows off his prototype for what could be the world's smallest bow that can handle a 58-pound draw.
Sprave's design is a sling bow, a slingshot that's designed to shoot arrows. This sling bow has a low fork for big draws and a whisker biscuit, which keeps arrows perfectly aligned.
Watch Sprave's impressive sling bow in action in the video below.
Here's more on Sprave's sling bow design from the video's description:
"This low fork, combined with the super ergonomic Rambone handle, allows very strong bands. 58 pounds of a draw weight is quite substantial for a sling bow. The heavy aluminum arrow lands with a deeply satisfying thud into the thick archery mat."
Sprave doesn't sell his sling bows, but he does sell the individual parts to make them. If you're inspired to create you're own, check out his web shop.
