This is true love.
When Kelly Benzel of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, found a little white pit bull for sale on Facebook, she knew she had to have him.
Shortly after bringing Rocco home, however, Benzel noticed a deep gash on Rocco's neck. The gash appeared to be from abuse.
Benzel brought Rocco to the vet who treated the wound and put Rocco on pain medications and antibiotics.
All healed, Rocco and Benzel are the best of friends - and also, Grateful Dead fans.

As Benzel says in the video:
"I have never felt this strong of a bond or this much love from any living thing."
It's clear that these two belong together. Watching them play fetch and go on walks and enjoy each other's company is simply beautiful.
Not all animals are lucky enough to share their lives with owners who truly love them. Although Rocco had a rough start in life, he now lives with an owner who will treat him with the love he, and every pup, deserves.
