The Tinger Track ATV is one-of-a-kind.
We see plenty of unique off-road and all-terrain vehicles here at Wide Open Spaces. Everything from your standard automotive Jeep to the latest in Can-Am and Polaris UTV side-by-sides. We really haven't seen anything quite like the Tinger Track.
As the name implies, this is a tracked vehicle. It seems to be truly built for the worst rough terrain the backcountry can throw at it. Just watch the video below to see what we mean.

We were most surprised to see at the end of this video that this vehicle is also an amphibious ATV! That's why these vehicles are built with a waterproof body, so nothing can stand in the way of a determined off-roader. Unlike many four-wheel drive UTVs and ATVs on the market today, it seems the Tinger Track was built more for utility than speed. We did a little research on the manufacturers website and found the top speed is only about 26 mph.
The company markets this vehicle as being able to replace five different vehicles including other amphibious swamp vehicles and snowmobiles. They also say it can climb 45-degree slopes, which is impressive for an amphibious ATV. There does seem to be a distinct advantage to tank treads over tires in forests full of sharp, dry timber and marshy swamps where tires may spin out. The ground clearance seems comparable to many UTVs at around 13 inches.
However, as you may have guessed from the video, these ATVs are not made in the United States. The Tinger website says they have been sold here, but it looks like you'd have to import them from somewhere like Sweden, which has the most dealerships. We can at least hope they expand their business here in the future. Until then, we'll admire this awesome-looking machine from a distance.
