The Los Angeles International Auto Show is the official kick off for major auto shows in North America, and this year's event promises more than 50 concept and production vehicle debuts.
While concept vehicles deliver high-impact excitement, it's the production cars that give a look at the immediate future of the industry.
This year's L.A. Auto Show will have quite a mix of production cars debuting from high-performance to family-friendly. Of the expected debuts, here are our top eight, but there will be some surprises popping up, too.
The 2017 L.A. Auto Show is open to the public from December 1-10.
1. 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Following a soft unveiling ahead of SEMA, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will finally get its official global debut. The all-new Wrangler JL will offer more safety features along with the same off-road domination for which this iconic SUV is known.
2. 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible

What's better than the ultimate Corvette? A drop-top version, of course.
Just weeks after the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (pictured above) was introduced, Chevrolet has unveiled a convertible version of this high-powered American supercar. This new model will mark the first ZR1 convertible since 1970, and the weight penalty for the convertible top is less than 60 pounds.
Pricing for the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was also announced with the Coupe starting at $119,995 and the Convertible priced at $123,995.
3. 2018 Hyundai Kona

Hyundai is looking to break the crossover mold with its all-new 2018 Hyundai Kona.
While most CUVs have a boring, cookie-cutter design, the Kona joins the ranks of the Nissan Juke and Jeep Cherokee with adventurous, polarizing lines. This new subcompact will give Hyundai a total of four crossovers slotting beneath the Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport, and Tucson.
4. 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class

Mercedes-Benz singlehandedly started the four-door coupe style with the CLS in 2005, and the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class will once again push the boundaries for vehicle design. In the weeks leading up to the 2017 LA Auto Show, Mercedes has released several teasers giving glimpses of how good this new CLS will be.
5. 2019 Lexus RXL

Lexus is often credited with starting the recent trend for luxury crossovers, but the automaker has fallen behind the times due to a lack of a three-row CUV. That will all change as Lexus takes the wrap off the three-row 2019 Lexus RX 350L and its hybrid counterpart, the 2019 Lexus RX 450hL.
6. 2019 Subaru Ascent

Demand for family-friendly three-row crossovers is red hot right now, and Subaru is looking to cash in on this segment. Years after the failed three-row Tribeca, the 2019 Subaru Ascent should be a more mainstream take on this popular segment while still packing Subaru essentials like all-wheel drive.
7. 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake

For buyers wanting a versatile vehicle that is fun to drive, the sporty new 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake should be the perfect fit. Combining the traits of a station wagon with the already luxurious and sporty Jaguar XF sedan, the XF Sportbrake is the cure for the common crossover.

For those who think the Jaguar XF Sportbrake isn't extreme enough, the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is an exciting take on the station wagon. This Panamera wagon might be a mouthful to say, but it will definitely move with an output of 680 horsepower!
