Toyota is ready to showcase two autonomous vehicle concepts, the e-Palette and Concept-i, at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Marketed as the Olympic's "mobility partner," the concepts will be used to shuttle athletes and packages from site to site, with more than 3,000 vehicles planned to hit the scene.
This fleet will also include the fuel cell Mirai and Sora, with the latter limited in its production in the U.S. (mainly California) due to a lack of infrastructure and marketing push.

The e-Palette, first debuting at the 2018 Costumer Electronic Show as one of Toyota's Mobility as a Service (MaaS) concepts, comprises a large modular transport box in three different configurations acting as "intelligent" shipping containers.
The Concept-i is an artificial intelligence-equipped vehicle that senses to and reacts to a driver's emotions. It will be limited to demonstrations at the venue.
"The freedom of being mobile is at the heart of being able to participate in society," said Toyota President Akio Toyoda. "If someone wants to take on a challenge and moving is what is preventing them from doing so, Toyota would like to help tackle that problem. We want mobility to be a possibility, not an obstacle."
