Toyota is set to unveil its latest concept, "Concept-i," at the Tokyo Motor Show next week.
Using artificial intelligence software to read drivers, Concept-i comprises of three new concept vehicles - the city slicker "i-Ride" for pedestrian areas, "i-Walk," an upright scooter, and the actual Concept-i, a wheelchair user-friendly four-seater.
All three models are equipped with AI Agent, its proprietary software that digests and analyzes in-car conversations, social media activity, and the driver's psychological profile (specifically, mood and tone) to perform tasks.

For example, one application is tying driver moods to GPS routes. Agent AI collects data on emotions and ties it to large data sets that return new routes using an "Emotion Map."
A second application is in-car vibrating seat massage, which can be activated upon sensing the driver's sour mood.
Other specifications include a 3D-HUD (head-up display) and a 186-mile driving range for the Concept-i, vs. a 93-mile range for the i-Ride and a 12-mile range for the i-Walk on a single charge.
Look for AI Agent to be introduced in road testing by 2020.
