When most of us hear "high-speed chase," our first thought isn't usually: "Oh, there must've been a turtle involved."
Well, think again. Because everything you think you know about the natural order of things is about to change.
An afternoon of innocent playtime in the backyard quickly goes south for this baby when his turtle decides that the backyard is only large enough for one.
The chase has already begun when the camera starts rolling. A few seconds in, mistakenly thinking he's safe, the baby sits down for a second, until he is immediately up off his rear and headed for the hills again when he sees that his turtle isn't playing games.
But forget about the tyke for a second and check out the wheels on the turtle — This little reptile can really move!
Past the tree, past the bench, over the rocks, the turtle is in hot pursuit and isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Really makes you wonder what happened after the camera stopped.
One day, this baby is going to hear the story of the tortoise and the hare and laugh, because he knows better. They say slow and steady wins the race, but it looks as if fast and furious has the upper hand here.
Now you've seen it for yourself. So, the next time you hear "high-speed chase," don't rule out any perps with a shell.
