Angler Brian Hartman has officially penned his name into the record books.
As reported earlier this month, Alexandria Bay angler Brian Hartman landed a brute of a walleye that weighed in at a whopping 18.2 pounds, which we assumed would shatter the existing record by almost two pounds.
Now the state New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has officially recognized Hartman's fish as the new state record!
We'd like to congratulate Hartman for his record catch and we hope it stands long enough for him to enjoy it!
Any angler looking for a shot at boating a big walleye like this should contact a good guide service in the Thousand Islands area and get themselves out there!
Good luck!
