I-80 Utah Elk Migration Halts Traffic for a Half Hour.
When you live out West, you sometimes have to allot enough time for migrations to cross the road. This Utah elk migration halts traffic as about 10 cow and young male elk cross the freeway. Take a look as this UDOT helicopter circles overhead.
I-80 was shut down between Salt Lake and Park City near Lambs Canyon for about 30 minutes Monday morning. Crews helped facilitate the herd of elk across the road, which UDOT thought might take as long as two hours. Fortunately, traffic stopped for only about thirty minutes.
