Does the warrior wasp's sting top the bullet ant?
Coyote Peterson is either crazy or brave depending on your perspective. Maybe he's a little of both. What is certain is the guy has endured some of the worst animal bites and insect stings the planet has to offer.
Some time ago, he thought he hit the top of the sting pain index with the bullet ant. However, he kept hearing about an ominous and cool-sounding bug called the warrior wasp in Central America. So, of course, he made it his new mission to seek this wasp out and let it sting him. Something no sane person would ever say, right?
He may seem like an entomological stunt man, but we don't just appreciate Coyote's videos for the stings. There's some cool education to be had here before the entertainment. Before this video, I'd never even heard of the warrior wasp. It definitely sounds like a critter you want to steer clear of if you ever visit Central America.
The fact Coyote kept his composure was enough to tell us this sting wasn't as bad as the bullet ant. If you'll recall that video, it nearly put him down for the count. It would appear a warrior wasp sting is most similar to his encounter with the tarantula hawk.
Still, we'll take Coyote's word on the warrior wasp. I'll be just fine with never encountering or being stung by one in my lifetime!
