A group of cyclists riding along the road were almost smashed by a buck that proceeded to get hammered by a car.
Several lucky bike riders got the closest look you could possibly get to a deer that was struck by a car. When a small six-point emerged from the nearby woods and tried to get across the busy road, it was summarily creamed by the passing car in the opposite lane.
Upon being hit, the little buck flew into the air and whizzed past the cyclists. The reaction from the bike riders was as expected: shock and even some swearing!
Since the video is extremely clear, the deer can be easily seen flying through the air. The sound of the strike is spot on, too.
You can't get any closer to a deer being hit by a car than this:
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE
This is a classic deer strike. The animal ran full speed out of the woods and right into the side of the oncoming car, bouncing off of the front, driver's side fender.
Luckily the deer hit the car and not the other way around! I've done both on multiple occasions and having one bounce off of your vehicle is without a doubt the better of the two alternatives.
