This is what a year's worth of trash from a river looks like.
Have you ever wondered just how much garbage collects in your favorite fishing or swimming hole over the course of a year? We've gotten an idea in the past from YouTuber DALLMYD. He and his friends Jordan and Tristan often swim in and clean out their local river.
For a full year now, they've saved everything they've removed from the river. In this video, they put it all on display for their fans.

We've featured some of these guys' videos here in the past at Wide Open Spaces. Even though we've seen them remove quite a few lost lures, seeing a year's worth of trash in one place is pretty shocking. This community is pretty fortunate to have these guys there cleaning up the river so often.
It is also good to see these guys inspiring so many kids with their videos. Hopefully, these kids will also take some initiative to help clean up their local parks and natural areas.
Everyone needs to do their part to help keep our lakes and rivers clean. Remember, this is where we like to play. If everyone were to take the initiative to pick up a little trash every time out fishing or hunting, it would make the outdoors a much better place.
