Is it too early for ice fishing? Not in Minnesota!
Most outdoor enthusiasts are focused entirely on hunting seasons right now, as is usually the norm for November.
But the country has also been inundated with colder-than-normal temperatures for November. It's great for deer hunting, but it makes for some chilly afternoons in the blind or treestand. But it's too early to go ice fishing, right?
Well, ice fishing lover and YouTube fishing celebrity Alex Peric, aka apbassing, and his friends found some fishable ice in Minnesota. Yes, that's right, he just released his first ice fishing video of the year!
It seems way too early for this, doesn't it? Normally we don't start talking about ice fishing here at Wide Open Spaces until January. But here we are. And despite it being early in the year for ice fishing, the crappies and bluegills were biting. They landed some nice fish on this trip.
As good as the fishing was, we can't help but feel like this means we're in for a long winter if the ice fishing videos are starting before Thanksgiving is even here!
