It definitely helped that this hunter knew this neck of the woods really well, but he knew it would take more than that to land this buck. Did you notice how he carefully planned out each one of his calls to attract him? He knew to first let the deer know there were other bucks in the area before getting too aggressive with the calls.
This hunter knew his buck was on the farm from the previously captured trail camera photos. His mission was complete for the time being, as he called to the deer and got a feel for it behaved on this 80-acre property.
