Ice fishing for sturgeon is a test of patience.
Probably the oldest fish anyone can fish for is the prehistoric sturgeon. While most sturgeon fishing occurs on rivers during the summer, people ice fish for these prehistoric monsters, too.
And, as you can see from apbassing's latest video, it's a test of patience, but the rewards are well worth it!
Sturgeon fishing just looks like a blast, no matter what form it takes. These ancient fish are so cool-looking, who wouldn't enjoy battling one of these monsters?
While we've heard of spearfishing for these fish through the ice before, using a rod and reel through the ice seems to be a rarer method. However, it certainly looks like a lot of fun! Just another item to add to the fishing bucket list!
