Han Solo's blaster comes to life as only the Slingshot Channel Guy could imagine it!
Star Wars has become a pop culture phenomenon, as has one of its most popular characters, Harrison Ford's Han Solo.
When you think of Solo, you probably imagine him with his iconic blaster pistol. The Slingshot Channel guy, Joerg Sprave, liked the weapon so much that he made a functioning rubber-band replica.
Watch the video below:
Not only did we get a look at an awesome replica of the DL-44, but we also learned a little bit of history about the design of this fictional weapon. Who knew it was based on the real C96? Sprave did a great job of recreating the look of Han's blaster right down to the weathering marks.
Maybe this thing isn't a real weapon, but it does look like it would be a lot of fun, doesn't it? Also, using glow sticks as ammo to simulate the laser blasts is pure genius. You've just got to love this guy's creativity.
