Dan Meyer from the Dominate Fishing channel is here to show you how to make the perfect jigging setup for crappies.
This jigging setup for crappies is great for summer use, but it can work well all year long. Check out this short video and learn how to create and utilize this setup.
When fishing for crappies, you have to remember two key things: location and technique. When setting up for crappies, try the weeds, over brush piles and near deep timber. Each takes a different jigging approach, so get familiar with your surroundings for maximum effectiveness. Consider using a fish finder to find the precise location of the crappies at these various locations.
Make small motions with the rod to make your lure dance a bit. Big motions will turn these fish off. Also, just gently drop the jig down a couple inches or so by tipping the rod. The crappies will hit during slow and steady movements. These are some of the best ways to land crappies all year long.
