How did this rifle end up in the river?
A little over a month ago, we shared a video of YouTubers DALLMYD and Jiggin' with Jordan finding a handgun in a shallow urban canal. Authorities believed the gun was related to a shooting in the area.
A few days ago, Jake and Jordan were scuba diving a river with their friend Tristan. Unbelievably, they find yet ANOTHER gun. This time, it's a rifle!
These guys definitely did the right thing by turning this rifle in to the police. There's probably no telling how or why this thing ended up there. Although it seems plausible it was ditched from the bridge. It appears to be an M1A or M14, but it is hard to tell with the excess river crud covering it.
One thing is for sure, though. We're really starting to wonder how many firearms end up ditched in local waterways, considering this is the third gun these guys have found in the last few years. If it was used in a crime, let's hope it's the key piece of evidence law enforcement uses to help bring some closure to the case.
