You can help Bass Pro Shop's Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium win top honors in USA Today's "10 Best" contest.
USA Today is again running its annual "10 Best" Readers' Choice Awards contest, and this year ,outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen have an opportunity to help Bass Pro Shop's Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium win the top prize.
It's also an opportunity for our community to reinforce the message that hunters and anglers are the true stewards of wildlife.
The USA Today entry for the museum states:
"Founded by Johnny Morris, CEO of Bass Pro Shops, Springfield's Wonders of Wildlife celebrates hunting, fishing and stewardship of the land and water through 1.5 miles of immersive galleries featuring 4D dioramas and a new aquarium."
The museum is up against some stiff competition in the "Best New Attraction" category. Frontrunners for this title include Morgan's Inspirational Island, Elvis Presley's Memphis and the Museum of the American Revolution. However, it's currently in third place, having skipped ahead of the Evel Knievel Museum since only yesterday.
Located next to the Bass Pro Shops National Headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, the museum boasts 350,000 square feet of outdoorsman paradise. It features incredible wildlife galleries that showcase an unbelievable collection record-setting game animals, as well as a new 1.5-million-gallon aquarium with 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles and birds.
Wouldn't it be cool for a museum that celebrates the outdoors lifestyle to win? That might even tick off the animal rights crowd!
You can vote for the museum once each day until Jan. 1. Just go to the USA Today contest page featuring Bass Pro Shop's Wonders of Wildlife and click the "VOTE" link.
