Fans of the annual Bassmaster Classic can catch live action from the tournament later this week.
How? Online.
Classic LIVE will be broadcasting the 47th event online, in real time, from Lake Conroe, just outside of Houston, March 24-26. Fifty-two bass anglers will be competing for more than $1 million in the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods.
"What an incredible venue we have this year being set up in the heart of Houston, Texas, and watching the action unfold live on a lake that some anglers are saying might produce multiple 10-pound-plus bass," says Mike McKinnis, vice president of media content for JM Associates and producer of The Bassmasters TV show on ESPN2.
Classic LIVE will be broadcasting from the B.A.S.S. booth at the Classic Outdoors Expo presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods in the George R. Brown Convention Center. Last year, Classic LIVE racked up nearly 12 million minutes viewed.
Fans can tune in through Bassmaster.com. Cameras will stream live coverage of the Bassmaster Classic leaders back to the expo center. Hosts and experts will provide analysis.
The live coverage will also be available for viewing on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app. Each day will feature six hours of coverage: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Additional coverage of the 47th annual Bassmaster Classic will take place online.
There will be Facebook Live broadcasts on the B.A.S.S. Facebook page. Bassmaster.com will also feature BASSTrakk, a real-time leaderboard, and the Live Blog will offer commentary from on-the-water reporters.
