Fisherman Gets Redemption by Catching the Same Gar That Broke His Line Earlier

Second chances like this don't come around too often.

Is there a worse feeling in the world than when a big fish breaks your line? No, we didn't think so. Every angler has experienced this pain at least once. It leaves you with a hollow, empty feeling as you wonder what might have been. Just how big WAS that fish that got away?

Most of us never get the chance to find out and must simply dream about it. And of course, tell stories about what we think may have happened.

Very few anglers get a shot at redemption on the exact same fish. But that's exactly what happened to YouTube user LunkersTV. Watch as he hooks into a big gar and loses it. But he gets a second chance when they just happen to run across the float two hours later...

Now that is a crazy fishing tale! If this had not been recorded for us to see with our own eyes, we would have a difficult time believing it. That's some incredibly good luck to spot the float again. It's a good thing he's got the whole thing on video. Not many would likely believe the story otherwise. That was some excellent work to get the line re-tied without spooking the gar and having it run again guys.

Although it seems the gar had the last laugh in this story when it knocked the fisherman flat to the ground. Still, an incredible catch and tale these guys will no doubt be sharing for a long time to come.
