Per the comments, the vehicle's excellent low center of gravity is due to its large, fortified battery embedded into the vehicle floor. The test was performed with two front-row dummies and two second-row heavy bags.

The Model X also excels in crash testing, achieving a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), winning perfect scores in nine sub-categories including frontal, side, and pole impact tests. Other assessments are also made with the structural integrity of the vehicle, energy absorption, and the effectiveness of its seatbelts and airbags in reducing injury in the event of a crash.
