A wayward deer dramatically interrupts dinner for this Texas family!
A family in McKinney, Texas had just sat down to eat dinner last Thursday when they had an unexpected and uninvited dinner guest. A wayward deer smashed its way through the front door and into the family's living room.
And the whole incident was caught on a security camera. Watch the moment of surprise and utter disbelief on the homeowners' faces.
The couple, identified by Fox 4 News as simply Jeff and Amy believes it is possible the deer saw their dog or its reflection and decided to charge.
"We've been here almost 13 years," Amy told the station. "I've seen bobcats and coyotes. Never a deer.
"It's a small deer, I get that. But a small deer can go crazy," Jeff told the station. "I sent my son out to the patio because he was visibly and noticeably upset."
The couple decided to call 911. The animal left the home through the same way it got in. Animal control later removed it from the neighborhood.
We here at Wide Open Spaces usually see these kinds of stories in the fall when the rut has the bucks and does acting more reckless than usual. And usually, when one breaks into a home, there isn't video footage. This family certainly has a unique piece of home video they'll be talking about for years to come!
