It's no secret that cars ain't what they used to be. From new materials used to more focus on tech and infotainment, the classic car is a thing of the past in more ways than one. So this brings up the idea of what cars today will be hailed as collectible cars in the future.
Sporty Stuff
Yes, there are the Ferraris and Porsches and Lambos, but what about more pedestrian cars we see driving next to us on the highways and byways? A Ford Thunderbird in 1960 wasn't necessarily a showstopper, but today a cherry version of the same car is regaled as something to fawn over. In fact, mainstream-branded cars of today will someday be collectible cars at auto shows of tomorrow and they're not tied to exclusivity.
Hagerty put out its list of the top future collectible cars and the results are a little surprising, but refreshing nonetheless. These shiny new models may be able to be spotted on the roads right now, but someday have a good chance of touting collectible cars status.
