If it's taco night, it's on you to make sure it's not the same old recipe. Everyone gets tired of ground beef and taco seasoning after a while, so it's your responsibility to follow this recipe for a take on turkey tacos that you'll be awfully impressed by. Most everyone who hunts turkey discards the turkey legs without thinking much of it. There isn't much meat and it can be a little tough if it isn't cooked correctly. But I've got a taco trick that cooks it in a slow cooker then adds cilantro and a special lime crema for a flavor boost beyond the norm. Whatever you do, don't throw out your turkey legs until you've tried this recipe! You may never toss them again.

Recipe Directions:
1. In a crock pot, add the wild turkey, salsa, green chiles, taco seasoning packet, lime juice, cilantro, and enough chicken broth to cover the wild turkey. Cook on low heat for 8 hours or high for 4.
2. Just before the wild turkey is finished cooking, prepare the lime crema by combining the sour cream, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt into a small bowl. Mix to combine.
3. Once the wild turkey is cooked, use two forks to pull the meat off the bone and shred it. Remove and discard any bones.
4. Serve in warmed tortillas drizzled with the lime crema and topped with your favorite taco toppings like the ones I have listed above.
