Turkey season is almost here and this scenario probably happens more times than not.
Turkey hunting is arguably the most fun type of hunting in the South, depending on who you talk to. These birds boast amazing eyesight and a keen awareness of their surroundings, making them exceptionally fun to chase. With turkey season on the horizon, hunters are practicing a form of hunting referred to as reaping more and more often.
Below is a form of reaping. While it can be invigorating, it can also be challenging to shoot a small target at such close range.
Watch and see what you're not supposed to do.
When you're reaping turkeys, hunters need to be careful not to get mistaken for a turkey by other hunters. Make sure no other hunters are around. Wear blaze orange and be absolutely positive of your target before you shoot.
Just for kicks, if you know someone who would miss a shot this close, be sure to tag them in the comments below!
