Would You Let Your Kid Feed a Mule Deer by Hand Like This?

What would you have done in this situation?

While it's not uncommon to see videos of hunters sneaking up on mule deer, it's rare for a wild deer to knowingly let a human get too close, or to actually eat from a person's hand.

However, that seems to be what this father captured on video with his son feeding a wild mule deer by hand. I'm sure that was an awesome experience, but seeing a little kid standing so close to a skittish animal makes me nervous.

The encounter seemed to go well, but I can't help but feel like these people were being foolish. By the looks of things, it wouldn't have taken much to startle that deer and have him accidentally stick the kid with one of his antlers.
