Wrangler Shows Off Winners of Drive for Design Concept Contest

Jeep's Drive For Design challenges produces some amazing concepts for the always hail-worthy Wrangler.

Three high school students from the United States were selected as winners from a nationwide contest to design some epic new takes on the Jeep Wrangler.

FCA's annual Drive For Design contest pulls design concepts from across the country every year to consider the future of the company's beloved SUV.

The three winners selected received an exclusive look inside FCA's Product Design office as well as a two-week summer auto design course at Lawrence Technological University.

The students, coming from Miami, Florida, and Buffalo, New York, developed their takes for the sixth-annual Drive For Design contest with colorful design and futuristic ideas, as seen in the images included.

"We wanted to connect with young artists early in their curriculum and help guide them in the right direction to begin a career in automotive design," said Mark Trostle, Head of Performance, Passenger Car and Utility Vehicle Design, FCA - North America. "The creative perspective on all this year's submissions were inventive and exceptional as you could truly see the inspiration, objective and emotion behind each concept."

The three student winners are:

  • First place - Eduard Cret, Design and Architecture Senior High (Miami, Florida)
  • Second place - Emily Bryson, Design and Architecture Senior High (Miami, Florida)
  • Third place - Jinho So, Canisius High School (Buffalo, New York)
