Believe it or not, surf fishing doesn't always yield small in-shore fish.
Growing up in the northeast, surf fishing for big Striped Bass in the fall was a thing that you had to do at least once a year. Even after all the years of watching people land monster fish from the shore, there were still grumblings of people who said "what are you ever gonna catch from the shore?"
Well, here's another good reason to own a surf fishing rod.
